YOUR ROLE

The LCC Transport Planner executes first class services (e.g. transport management and requests & deviation management) according to joint and contractual agreements made with the customer. The LCC Transport Planner ensures daily execution of the services in scope and interacts with relevant counterparts of the involved parties for all services in scope.The role will be performed in the LCC (Logistics Control Centre) in Donnington as an integral part of the Control Tower team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate transport services for customer orders, using Oracle Transport Management system.
• Agree with logistics service providers to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery service in full
• Select transport modes, logistics service providers, considering the agreed selection parameters
• Manage ad-hoc transport requests and adjustments
• Organize special transport requests
• Respond constructively to customer requests to develop a proactive relationship, to create a positive approach and minimise disruption to business.
• Execute event monitoring to guarantee agreed delivery service
• Issue or receive as well as respond to deviations reported, by identifying root cause, causing party and proposing corrective actions (transport related)

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Transport/planning knowledge and experience desirable
• Experience of Transport Management Systems would be an advantage
• Good proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Flexible working approach (may include shift patterns such as weekend and out of hours cover)
• Ability to understand and execute new processes
• Ability to fulfil time-critical tasks, keep to schedules and deadlines
