Insurance Administrator
Hemel Hempstead
37.5 hrs/week – Monday to Friday
Our client who is an international logistics company are looking for an experienced administrator to join their Quality, Compliance & Insurance team
Duties will include:
- Processing claims received via all mediums to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Informing insurance company of claims and providing all relevant information. Hold the haulier / third party liable sending the correct information and documentation.
- Arranging surveys in a timely manner particularly where temperature claims are involved. Ensuring survey details are communicated to the STI Quality manager
- Supporting the insurance company with information requests whenever necessary.
- Recording claims in the claims tracker and updating with information as the claim progresses. Keeping up to date files of all required information and documents.
- Supporting the finance function process invoices and payments in relation to claims.
- Logging and processing seal rejections on the claim’s tracker, seal rejection log and in Carlo, invoicing hauliers where necessary.
- Arranging salvage and disposal of goods where necessary and provide correct documentation to insurers whilst maintaining accurate record internally.
- Produce and process sales invoices, including all documentation required by each client / liable third party.
- Ensure all transactions are processed in a timely manner
- Produce monthly KPI reports for claims and quality assurance
- Support QA manager with haulier compliance, ISO9001, BRCGS and health & safety compliance
Essential skills & experience:
- A self-motivated individual who has good attention to detail the job holder is expected to manage own workloads in order to meet necessary deadlines.
- This will be a client and haulier facing role – Good communication and diplomacy skills are essential.
- Ability to write and structure concise and coherent letters.
- Microsoft Office Skills essential – Excel, Outlook, Word
- Administration experience
Preferable/beneficial experience:
- Knowledge of freight, logistics, and any insurance experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of a European language is useful but not essential
