Imports Customer Service Operator

TRIANGLE RECRUITMENT are currently recruiting for an Import Customer Service Clerk for one of their freight forwarding / logistics clients. Previous experience working in the Import/Shipping/Logistics sector is essential!

Duties include:-

• Being responsible for handling import operations for sea and air shipments, with emphasis on delivering the highest levels of customer service.

• Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers in order to arrange smooth shipping of cargo to customer’s door.

• Collecting and checking all the required shipping documentation in order to complete import customs entries.

• Arranging local deliveries.

• Negotiating rates with suppliers in order to optimize profit margin whilst still adding value for the clients.

• Ensuring shipments are correctly rated and invoiced.

• Building relationship with customers in order to exploit further business opportunities.

• Resolving any customer queries or complaints
