Salary: £26,000 per year
COMPANY: A 12 month contract has become available within the public sector, working for a Government body based in Worcestershire for an ICT Programme Manager.
DUTIES:
Our ICT Programme / Project Managers will be responsible for undertaking project management duties for ICT projects to the value of circa £6 million. You will be expected to be able to run multiple ICT projects, coordinate ICT professionals of various disciplinaries to achieve delivery of the project within programme and budget.
You will also undertake Capital Business cases, including whole life costing analysis, ensuring client briefs and feasibility proposals are developed in accordance with project aims and objectives, and benefits realisation analysis undertaken including for establishing project risk logs.
To regularly present updates to the Programme Manager and senior management of projects status ensuring that issues are raised in a timely fashion as well as plan and initiate post implementation reviews to ensure future continuous improvement.
The position offers access to a great working environment covering four beautiful historic counties. You must be able to demonstrate a real belief in public service, by focusing on what matters to the public and will best serve their interests. It is essential that you are able to build confidence by talking with people to explore their viewpoints and break down barriers.
You must be able to travel throughout the West Midlands and Warwickshire area and the use of your own transport is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must have:
Experienced in undertaking project management and hold a Professional Programme Management qualification such as PRINCE2 or MSP.
Proven experience of the whole project life cycle
Proven experience of budgetary management.
A track record of building strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders – internal and external, eg reporting bodies, senior management, suppliers and contractors.
Experience of data migration and back record conversion.
