With ambitious growth plans in the pipeline for 2024, we’re now looking for a HR Advisor to support our growing People function.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an integral role within our People Team. We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor who can provide a first-class generalist HR support service for our growing business.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Providing guidance, support and consistently sound advice to managers and staff on all HR activities, in line with company policy and procedure and relevant legislation.
- Manage varied and at times complex ER matters.
- Manage all employee profiles on our HRIS [Bamboo] to ensure an accurate picture of employees at all times.
- Working alongside the Head of People to undertake a full HR policy review, ensuring all policies are update and in line with legislation.
- Support the Recruitment team to ensure all new joiners are onboarded effortlessly and are compliant.
- Manage a variety of HR administration activities, including producing leavers letters, change of contract, conducting exit interview and responding to employee queries.
- Coordinate any training requirements across the business.
- Promote engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Any additional tasks when required to support the People team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience and a passion for working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- A sound understanding of employment legislation and proven experience of leading on complex ER cases.
- Broad knowledge base with a desire to instil best practice across the business.
- Confidence to coach and develop hiring managers to broaden their HR knowledge around common people issues. Building their knowledge to deliver the correct process with confidence.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Superb communication skills and ability to build strong relationships across the business.
- Exceptional IT skills across the MS Office suite.
- Analytical by nature and able to interpret data reports from our HRIS.
- An ideas person – Confident to bring to the table new ideas to improve the People function along with the confidence and desire to spearhead certain change projects.
- Flexibility to travel to our different offices as and when required.
- CIPD level 5 qualified as a minimum.
- Hunger to always learn and develop – keeping up to date with HR trends and best practices.
- Experience working with people in a Mechanical & Engineering field previously would be considered as highly desirable.
- Extensive experience of working with a HR Information System – Bamboo would be a bonus!
- Passionate about all things people and delivering a seamless employee journey.
- A good sense of humour and positive by nature.
