Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year
This is an excellent opportunity for a HPC Systems Support Engineer to join a highly reputable organisation that specialise in Super Computing. They are currently seeking a HPC Systems Support Engineer to initially work from their Bristol office to help support a prestigious HPC installation.
The position requires a System Support Engineer with exceptionally deep Linux knowledge, combined with strong file systems/storage skills. The successful Systems Support Engineer will be tasked with supporting the clients system on a technical level, including both on-site & remote.
The successful candidate will be required to be have been born in the UK and be eligible for high level security clearances.

Requirements:
Educated to degree level in Computer Science or related discipline
Born in the UK (due to SC/DV clearance requirements)
In-depth knowledge of Linux is mandatory
Extensive knowledge of massively parallel or SMP systems
Strong file systems knowledge (Sun / Lustre etc)
Excellent storage experience
SAN/NAS experience
of providing support in a large-scale computing environment
Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to resolve complex problems and queries
