Job Description
Hotel Receptionist required for a prestigious hotel located within the surrounding area of Guildford / Godalming.
As Hotel Receptionist, your role will involve ensuring the effective running of the front desk whilst on shift achieving consistently high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
You will provide services such as guest check in and check out, operating the telephone, communicating information to hotel departments, administration, taking reservations.
The role of Receptionist:
- 37.5 hrs per week working 5 days per week including weekend shifts. A mixture of early (7.00am to 3.00pm) and late (2pm – 10pm) shifts
- Welcoming arrival guests
- Guest check-in and rooming
- Enquiry handling – both in person and on the telephone
- Posting of charges and guest billing
- Taking bedroom reservations
- Producing daily Activity Report for all internal departments
- Upselling facilities and rooms
- Organising porter service where needed
- Balancing the shift and completing ‘end of day’ procedures
Requirements for the role of Receptionist:
- Excellent standard of personal appearance
- Excellent communicator in person and on the telephone
- Warm and friendly disposition
- Genuine desire to serve our guests
- Organised and good attention to detail
- Accurate data entry and computer work
- Must have own transport due to shifts and Hotels rural location
Salary for this role of Hotel Receptionist is given as £22,674 per annum (£21,674 + £1,000 per annum guaranteed service charge payment paid quarterly). Plus an additional end of financial year service charge bonus also paid. TRANSPORT is required due to location and shifts. Live out role only.
