Salary: £26,000 – £30,420 per year
We are currently looking to recruit Hospital Porters to work in the Leeds area over the winter period. Duties will include:
The safe and efficient transportation of patients, including any medical equipment they may need
The collection and delivery of blood samples and specimens to wards and departments
The transportation of deceased patients from Wards to Mortuary
The removal of rubbish, linen and waste to designated areas in line with infection prevention Policies.
The loading and unloading of vehicles when required
To report any security matters which require attendance during working hours
The ideal candidate will be:
Respectful and aware of patient confidentiality at all times and not divulge patient information
Provide a professional and caring service.
Be flexible in regards to shifts as these will include early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Committed, hard-working and willing to go the extra mile when needed
Have an ability to work under pressure
Well organized and be able to listen to instruction
A good attitude towards teamwork
All applicants are subject to a successful and clear DBS check and an initial registration interview. We must also be able to obtain employment references covering the last 3 years as a minimum, with any gaps suitably verified with official documentation.
