Horticulture Assessor

We are looking to recruit a Horticulture Assessor to join a market leading specialist Facilities Management company invest in their staff, offer an excellent and modern working environment, competitive rates of pay, a progressive career structure.

You would cover the Derbyshire and Midlands areas therefore will include travel on a daily basis

TheHorticulture Assessor will be to instruct, assess & teach learners in a work based environment who are working towards an Apprenticeship framework in Horticulture as well as other academic activities which contribute towards high quality, effective and relevant learning experiences that are appropriate to the needs of Individual students.

Key Responsibilities: You would be expected to:
· Provide learning support for students across a wide geographical area which will include overnight stays
· Deliver and assess relevant vocational courses in the workplace including preparation of lesson plans and learning materials
· Establish contacts and appropriate networking on work sites with establishing staff
· Support learners with additional learning support.
· Engage and inspire learners
· Complete all paperwork as required by the funding contract, including attendance registers, progress reviews, ALS records and update all ILP’s.
· Participate in personal professional development

Experience / Skills / Attributes needed:
· Extensive experience of working within the Horticulture industry with a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Horticulture
· A1 qualification – Advantage
· PTTLS/DTTLS – Advantage
· Self-motivated
· Team player
· IT Literate
· Excellent communication skills
· Happy with commuting
· Driving Licence

Annual Salary: £26,000 – £28,800(dependent on experience), Company Car + Fuel Card, Health Care, 36 days holiday
