A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Homelessness Prevention Officer with our client who is an established provider of affordable housing within the Birmingham area.

Due to a recent increase in workload and an upcoming restructure, a Homeless Prevention Officer is immediately required to minimise the risk of homelessness within the local area

Key duties:

• Provide accurate advice to minimise homelessness
• Identify and implement appropriate prevention options
• Provide advice and support in order for residents to sustain existing tenancies
• Conduct home visits to identify potential new homeless cases

You will also:

• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Show knowledge of housing advice and homelessness prevention
• Be committed to partnership working and finding new solutions to housing problems.

The successful Homelessness Prevention Officer will understand the need to identify potentially homelessness cases and implement prevention methods where appropriate.
