Our client is a large food company based working within research, development, analysis and sensory testing of a range of food products.

They are currently looking for someone who is passionate about food to join their team as a Home Economist. The role is ideally suited to a candidate looking to work with food and will include sensory analysis (tasting and testing food), looking at food colour, odour, texture and food storage. Working closely with food retailers and consumers you will be responsible for looking into what customer want by running surveys in the market place, speaking to customers, testing products and product benchmarking.

Ideal candidates will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a relevant subject such as Food Science, Home Economics, Sensory Science or Consumer Science with a background in retail, catering or other food industry. You should have a good understanding of the current food market and Basic Food Hygiene certification is desirable. You will be keen to join a team that loves working with food and with customers alike.

This company are based within a commutable distance of the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and West Midlands. Due to the location of the company, candidates should have access to their own transport.

Salary: Up to £27,600depending on skills and experience (plus excellent benefits)
