Home Care Worker

Salary: £26,000 – £37,440 per year

Time Recruitment are seeking professional Home Care Workers, with QCF Level 2, for one of the market leading care operators in the UK.

This position will be based in the London borough of Enfield, reporting to the Home care services manager, this position offers part time as well as full time opportunities.

Suitable Home Care Workers candidates MUST have/be the following:

· Full drivers (B) Licence

· Flexible working attitude to meet the needs of the home, commitment, loyalty and supportive manner towards management and colleagues

· QCF Level2 in Health & Social Care

· First Aid Qualification

· Minimum two years experience working with Older people, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health

· Understanding of BSL or community languages

· Enhanced DBS

· Up to date Covid-19 Vaccinations

Home Care Workers Duties shall include the following:

· Experience of working with older people within health, social care or voluntary care settings.

· Experience of working using your own initiative and responding assertively in a practical manner.

· A clear understanding of the needs of older people, including people affected by dementia, and other disabilities including Long Term Health Conditions

· Knowledge and understanding of Equality and Diversity and its relevance to service delivery.

· Effective communication skills – especially people who may have sensory loss or impairment or cognitive difficulties

· Ability to record concisely and accurately using written documents, or digital technology

· Awareness of Safeguarding or threats to an individual’s safety and ability to report concerns in timely manner

· Ability to work flexibly and adapt to sudden change to rotas.

· Ability to work well as part of a team.

· To assist with moving and handling as defined in individual’s support plan

· Ability to work evenings, weekends and any time directed by line management.

· A car driver with full clean license and use of car and to be prepared to drive throughout the London Borough of Enfield

This is a Monday-Friday role with rotational Weekends. Successful candidates will be paid between £26,000 – £37,440 per year.
