Hiv Support Worker (Herts) – Sexual Health Charity

Herts Aid is a registered charity providing a commissioned countywide HIV and Sexual Health service for Hertfordshire.

We are currently recruiting for an:

HIV Support Worker
Based in Watford
Salary: £26,000 – £27,619per year
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The role is to provide a range of diverse support for service users using structured support planning and review and partnerships with a range of clinical and other organisations that may be able to assist them. The job entails a robust understanding of HIV and experience in assessing need, care planning and service development.

You will need an NVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent qualification and at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Candidates should have a good understanding of HIV and AIDS and confidentiality.

You need to be proficient in Microsoft office packages, able to produce clear written correspondence and reports, be a car driver with a full, clean licence and have access to your own vehicle. An enhanced CRB check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
