Hours of work for the HGV Technician / Fleet Engineer: 

There are 2 choices for this location

1) 4 on 4 off Nights

2) 4 on 4 off Days 

Salary for the HGV Technician / Fleet Engineer:

1) 4 on 4 off Nights – £21.00ph

2) 4 on 4 off Days – £18.00ph

My client, a major commercial fleet Workshop in the UK are looking for a HGV Technician for their site in Northampton.

The role of HGV Technician / Fleet Engineer will include:

·Carrying out scheduled servicing inspection and preparation for testing as required for all vehicles

·Carrying out MOT Tests

·Undertaking regular safety inspections of HGV’s in accordance with the statutory requirements to maintain Goods Vehicle Operators Licence and repair defects as necessary.

·Inspecting vehicles to diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) and repair as necessary.

·Completing all necessary records relating to the inspection, service and repair of all items in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements.

·Liaising with colleagues, vehicle operatives and managers to prioritise workload, organise replacement parts and/or specialist support when required.

·Supervising and direct the activities of the apprentices

Required for this HGV Technician / HGV Technician role:

·Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician

·HGV licence is an advantage

·Diagnostic experience 

·Full UK Driving Licence
