This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV / LGV / Class 2 Food Service Driver to work in Norwich for the UK’s number one dairy business and a company who believe in encouraging success – both business and personal.

Hours
For the role of HGV / LGV / Class 2 Food Service Driver you will be working rotating 5 and 6 day weeks on the following shifts:

5 days 10:30am start / 35 hour week
6 days 1am start / 60 hours a week

Purpose of HGV / LGV / Class 2 Food Service Driver role
* Efficiently and effectively control the operation of your assigned round
* Deliver dairy goods to retail and business customers
* Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained at all times

Nature & Scope of the Job
* The HGV / LGV / Class 2 Food Service Driver is responsible for the bulk delivery of milk and dairy products to commercial and retail premises.
* All deliveries are expected to be made in a timely manner and logged appropriate on the ERB (Electronic Rounds Book).
* The role involves loading and unloading the vehicle and liaison with depot counterparts (eg. Product Controller, Foodservice Administrator) to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled.
* The Food Service Driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

Principal Accountabilities
In the role of HGV / LGV / Class 2 Food Service Driver you will:

* Deliver bulk dairy products to food service customers on the designated round (including “call backs” where required)
* Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
* Participate in all Company promotional activities
* Ensure that all deliveries and order are logged on the ERB (Electronic Rounds Book)
* Support the development of a corporate image as a high quality food distribution company by adhering to Company visions and values
* Complete all appropriate Company documentation relative to vehicles (e.g. accident reports, damage reports) where appropriate
* Ensure company vehicles are kept presentable at all times and to ensure it is operated in line with Company procedures
* Comply with drivers’ responsibilities under the Working Time Regulations including working hours, rest breaks & tachograph legislation
* Undertake other duties within training experience and ability as directed by the Operations Manager

Knowledge & Experience Required
* Must hold a full Cat C (HGV II) driving licence
* Maximum 6 points on driving licence accepted
* Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
* Experience of keeping accurate records
* Must be comfortable working alone and with early starts/night work
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
* Experience of using handheld sets for deliveries (Electronic Rounds Books – ERB) is desirable

The salary on offer will be £556.38per week, circa £24,110 per week.
