HGV Fitter

Salary: £18 – £20.4 per hour

My client, a leading haulage business with multiple sites across the Cambridgeshire region, are well known within their sector and work with some of the biggest manufacturers in the world on a national basis.

Due to expansion, they are looking up to 3 HGV Technicians to join their busy site based in Fenland, working on their fleet of trailers and HGV units in their fully equipped workshop. Reporting into the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance of the fleet, working on both reactive and planned maintenance issues.

Day to Day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

– Inspect vehicles to an MOT standard 

– Diagnose and rectify all types of faults

– Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses where required

– Complete all relevant paperwork where necessary

Ideally you will have 3-5 years experience in a similar role, and have relevant qualifications for the position – C&G Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair, Apprenticeships etc.

The ability to be self motivated and work under pressure are essential, along with a commitment to providing ‘best in class’ service to the fleet through dedication and knowledge of the products.

My client pay good hourly rate and overtime is available, they also have a flexible working week with earlier/later start and finish times as part of their offering.
