Based in Peterborough (UK), AB Connect is part of AB Agri, an animal nutrition and agricultural services business, part of Associated British Foods plc.
We’re looking for someone with an HGV Class 1 Licence to join our small team in Grimsdyke to effectively and safely perform bulk blown and tip animal feed deliveries to customers in the UK. you should be self-motivated, a team player and a great communicator. Great customer service skills and a desire to meet customer expectations are also important. This role is shift based and so a degree of flexibility is also required. You will be expected to:
* Adhere to all site and Company Health and Safety regulations, including driving responsibly within speed limits and staying within parameters of tachograph regulations.
* Completion of daily walk round checks in accordance with the Driver’s Handbook before leaving site and or commencing shift.
* Conduct feed deliveries accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed, returned and recorded as required by Company procedures.
* Completion of vehicle defect paperwork on time and in following Company procedures.
* Liaising with your fellow drivers, production operators. Production Manager and Operations Manager regularly to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
* Safe and timely loading and unloading of the vehicles as instructed with regard to gross weight, axle weight, road safety and product quality.
* Following and maintaining vehicle hygiene in accordance with Company procedures.
* Follow all bio-security procedures and legislation, including completing any administration.
* Minimise the production of waste and use of resources.
