HGV 2 Cargo Driver

Salary: £16.2 – £18 per hour

Driver Hire Southend are now recruiting for a HGV 2 Cargo Driver for our Basildon based freight client. Please note, you WILL need a Cargo Operative Status for this role.

Responsibilities:

* Driving a HGV 2 Cargo vehicle, curtain sided

* To attend our client’s unit in Basildon, collect the vehicle (times depend on cargo being collected / dropped off – between 7/8am start.

* Drive to E16 to collect cargo from their client, and return cargo to the warehouse in Basildon (twice a day)

* Depending on cargo for client in E16, other drop offs / collections locally / on route to E16 likely to be made

* On arrival at their client in E16, you will be required to load the vehicle (curtain side)

* You will be responsible for securing cargo with straps, internal and individual and TIR cord. Security seal to be provided by the client as some of the cargo may be Air Cargo

* Any relevant paperwork

Requirements:

* Experience of driving a HGV 2 Cargo vehicle

* Experience of driving a curtain sided vehicle is essential

* Up to date CPC

* You MUST have a Cargo Operative Status

* Experience of collecting / delivering cargo driving a HGV Cargo vehicle

* Reliable and hard working nature
