Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Manager / Hsse Manager

Your challenge: is to allow zero harm to people or the environment through the creation of a culture that all staff believe is possible and will work to the highest safety standards wherever they may be. Committed to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental management through understanding the risks and how to control them, you will have influence over a wide range of people, situations and working environments both onshore and offshore.

Your role:
• As the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, you’ll deliver the HSSE strategy and be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the department and team
• You’ll be heavily involved in visiting the varied sites and managing the worldwide team including H&S, Environmental and Quality specialists on and offshore
• Through the preparation of bids and tenders along with the maintenance and development of the Integrated Management System you should ensure all meet the appropriate compliance standards and legislative requirements
• You will conduct accident investigations, prepare reports, put in corrective actions as well as act as principle contact with the regulators during ISO 18001, 14001 and 9001 customer audits
• As a member of the senior management team you’ll engage their H&S acceptance, control your budgets, monitor training and represent the business at industry federation HSEQ forums

About you:
• You’ll have previous team management experience as an HSSE Manager in a diverse engineering, manufacturing business, ideally with both onshore and offshore exposure
• NEBOSH and IOSH qualified with excellent communication and IT skills, you’ll have the ability to juggle changing priorities and promote the highest HSSE standards throughout the company
• Flexible, adaptable and a great problem solver, you will have the communication and interpersonal skills to engage in constructive, clear, open and honest working relationships whilst selling the benefits of H&S
• Customer focussed, results orientated and a quality focussed commitment to the business means you’ll be a robust and personable team leader, able to influence and win over everyone with “why” HSSE should be at the top of the priority list

Salary and benefits: £72,000 + car, BUPA, Pension, 22 days holiday
