We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our team on a part time basis, working 22.5 hours per week.

About the role

You will be a valued member of our Outpatient team supported by our experienced Manager, Ewa. As a Health Care Assistant you will not only support the nursing staff; you will also participate in the pre-assessment of patients, undertaking basic tests and investigations under supervision. This will include vital signs recording, venepuncture, ECG recordings, urinalysis and peak flow recordings. You will have completed your NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it and hold your BLS certificate. With recent experience working as a Health Care Assistant in an acute setting it would be advantageous if you have performed basic investigations but it is not essential. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling, the ability to follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload and the desire to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.
