ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Manager for our client based close to Navenby in Lincolnshire.
Health and Safety Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for a Health and Safety Manager responsible for the development of all health and safety management systems to ensure compliance with current legislation and approved code of practices.
Purpose of the role:
The post will provide advice, support and guidance for our client’s staff to assist them in maintaining health and safety standards, fully embedding health and safety principles into the companies culture. The role will be hands on initially and site visits to perform Health and Safety inspections with the ability to own and deliver upon any improvement opportunities will be essential.
Helath and Safety Manager:
We are looking for a qualified Health and Safety professional who can make use of their experience and knowledge in a similar environment to lead, motivate and influence others at both operational and strategic levels.
You should be able to demonstrate how you will deliver improved health and safety performance / management.
You will be self-motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, confident and proactive with excellent communication skills. You will have the confidence to work within a client facing role and will have the ability to work under pressure within a performance driven environment.
You will be disciplined with a “right first time” work ethic and able to work autonomously, setting personal deadlines and goals; you will be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office programmes and be able to prepare accurate and incisive management reports and commentary.
The successful candidate should hold a Formal qualification in Health and Safety e.g. degree or NVQ Level 4 or Diploma and possess a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
