Salary: £30,000 per year
The role as Health and Safety Advisor is an integral part of the company for the overall advice to the company on H&S and HR matters. Working between the Birmingham and Dudley sites you will enjoy an early 1pm finish on a Friday, annual bonus and full training will be given.
The company is a world-class supplier of high-quality precision machined components for the aerospace and advanced engineering markets. Established in 1976, it has developed from a small tool-making business into a company which now offers a wide range of capabilities, specialising in the manufacture of complex machined components and assemblies.
As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for:
• Taking delegated responsibility for the business sites and audits of H&S issues and advice on human resource matters;
• Conduct H&S audits and on-site inspections, investigating incidents, complaints and cases of ill health;
• Undertaking risk assessments;
• Training the workforce on emergency response procedures, handling hazardous materials etc.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have the following skills and experience:
• NVQ level 4 or equivalent in relevant are, CIPD, NEBOSH qualified or equivalent;
• Have worked within a HR, H&S role with experience of working with managers in an advisory capacity;
• Knowledge of H&S and employment legislation;
• Have worked within an engineering, aerospace, manufacturing environment.
In return, the Health and Safety Advisor will receive a salary of £30,000 pa annual bonus, pension, overtime, training and development. Hours of work are 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish at 1pm on Fridays.
