Head of Service Delivery
Full job description
Recruitment South East
Salary: £78,000 – £84,000 per year
This is a fast-growing tech business fixing the connectivity and communication challenges of organisations that need seamless and secure technical infrastructure. Service is everything, and this new position exists to deliver exactly that time and again. It would suit anybody with a Lean outlook, a broad understanding of technology and deliberate team management and leadership skills.
THE ROLE
This role is about provisioning and supporting technical services, and how to scale the delivery process to do that in a lean and standardised way and delighting the client. The growth strategy is in place, and the customer demand is there, the challenge is about automating the steps and streamlining the service for greater efficiency.
This is a new position – it’s not quite a blank canvas, but there’s scope to make an impact in an ambitious organisation.
This role is more about managing resources, people and customers than getting engaged in the technical nuances – the team in place have that covered – Continuous change and transformation are inevitable, and you’ll take control, rather than let change dictate what happens next.
This position will have demands on your tactical and strategic responsibilities. You’ll have to make calls and informed judgements in the moment. If you find that stimulating, you’re already off on the right foot.
THE CANDIDATE
A broad technical experience and understanding of networks, IT, systems and infrastructure is important, but not as critical as team leadership and resource planning. You might even come from a manufacturing background as automation, lean and repeatability is key to the company’s further growth.
We would also be interested to hear from you if you have experience working in an environment where speed of response /emergency services is a critical priority. Ideally this will be in a technical service environment, or an operation that contains a high number of knowledge workers.
You think and plan, share goals, and celebrate success. This is a rapidly growing organisation, so every day will have its challenges – and rewards.
GEOGRAPHY: The offices are in central London close to most of the client portfolio, although this is a hybrid role.
SALARY: Basic salary will be IRO £78,000 – £84,000along with a performance-related annual bonus.
