Head of QA / Quality Assurance – testing, e-commerce – Berlin

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced QA or Test Manager to join an innovative e-commerce company who are presently the only operator within their business sector and have millions of user visits each month from over 120 countries. This role offers a starting salary of €70,000 – €80,000 + benefits + relocation assistance.

The employer supply an innovative e-commerce service to consumers across Europe and are now developing their service to be a global offering. Quality is at the heart of their service and they are now seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Test Manager to help them take their QA department to the next level. In this role the successful applicant will be tasked with leading the QA team, representing quality within new projects, defining quality standards and automating testing activities where at all possible.

Applicants must have solid background in software testing with in-depth test automation skills and now be operating at a team lead or other senior level where they are responsible for guiding the work of others. This role entails managing a geographically dispersed team and so it would be useful for applicants to have previously worked in a similar environment. Additional skills in Java and/or JavaScript programming would be highly beneficial as these are presently the preferred test automation languages. Applicants will also be involved in working with developers and product managers so great communications and problem solving skills are critical. The business language is English so all applicants must be fluent, German would also be beneficial but not essential.
