At the Royal British Legion, you’ll spearhead communications for captivating and unique events like our Poppy Appeal and D-Day commemorations while taking the leadership of our press office. From publicising major milestones to managing high-stakes moments, your role as Head of Public Relations will be about crafting impactful narratives that resonate deeply, ensuring our stories captivate the nation and the world.

Your mission? Lead a team of passionate PR professionals, driving strategies to elevate our reputation and presence. You’ll be the maestro orchestrating media campaigns, press calls, and launches, ensuring our message resonates consistently and powerfully.
Your role is pivotal in safeguarding our reputation and managing crisis communications. You will skilfully leverage your expertise to navigate external factors, steering our messaging with finesse through the news agenda and industry trends. Your talent for building and nurturing relationships will see you working hand-in-hand with major media organisations and stakeholders, ensuring the Royal British Legion’s voice echoes far and wide.

Your contractual place of work will be our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.
