Head of Product Management – Insurance software | £70k – £80k + bonus/benefits | London, UK

The UK’s newest insurance technology provider is currently seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join their core technology delivery team in a key strategic leadership role, as their Head of Product Management. The company in question are experiencing significant growth and development and require an accomplished leader to drive forward product development, production and future strategy.

As Head of Product Management you will be fully focused on the vision and profitability of core product lines for this major insurance technology provider. You will work closely with technology teams, sales and client services to build new ‘go-to-market’ products while keeping ahead of the curve on key enhancements to existing product lines. You will use your expert insurance market knowledge and experience to research new product lines while also finding innovative new solutions for both new and existing market segments. The role spans from deepening profitability and functionality of existing software products to developing and new greenfield solutions.

The be considered for the role you will have:

– 5+ years experience working in a senior technical or product leadership role
– Strong understanding of the full SDLC, including architecture, design, testing and delivery
– A very understanding of insurance technology, the sector and software systems and related (ideally spanning life & pensions, GI and Lloyds markets)
– previous experience in the consultancy sector (into insurance) would be very beneficial
– Experience of working in an Agile environment
– Experience of working with senior level stakeholders internally and externally
– Previously people management and leadership experience
– First class communication skills

Personally you will be an accomplished leader with the ability to engage and motivate teams of people, while also being able to research and spot gaps in the market both from a technical and commercial perspective.
