Essential Criteria:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent

Qualified and experienced accountant with extensive understanding of accounting and experience of managing a finance team

Proven experience of preparing and overseeing forecasts and budgets

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to understand complex data

Able to show continued professional and managerial development

Duties:

Working as the Head of Finance, within an education establishment.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the leadership of finances together with providing effective planning, budgeting, and monitoring and producing timely and accurate financial information.

Responsible for the leadership of a small team of staff.

Provide accurate financial data together with monthly, termly, and annual income and expenditure reports.

Support staff who are non-financial with their understanding of financial data – putting into place any identified actions where necessary.
