Our client based in Manchester is seeking a Head of Finance to collaborate with the Group Finance team and develop the Company’s finance function and optimise financial performance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Head of Finance/Senior Finance Manager or similar in a medium or large size organisation and be able to analyse, summarise and present financial information in a clear and comprehensive way.
The Role:
Be an active member of senior management team and contribute to the development of company’s overall strategy across all areas of the business
Ensure robust internal financial control policies and procedures
Responsibility for month-end closing
Prepare monthly management accounts
Produce Group Reporting Packs for the Group (in line with IFRS)
Responsible for preparation of annual financial statements (in line with local GAAP)
Oversee tax calculations and submissions to the relevant authorities
Conduct annual audits
Lead budgeting and budget controlling process, modelling of forecasts
Cash management and forecasting
Lead various internal Group projects and improvements initiatives (e.g., BI development, digitalisation, business integration into Group systems etc)
Supervise and mentor finance team members
Duties and experience required:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related subject
Good knowledge of IFRS
Professional finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.) obtained or in the very final stages
Knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements and tax system
Previous experience with Sage would be considered as an advantage
Able to pro-actively communicate with the team and other stakeholders within the Company to get tasks closed
Excellent project management skills
Ability to identify potential efficiency opportunities in the current processes and implement positive changes Flexible working hours and early finish on Fridays
