Salary: £120 per hour
Are you looking for an opportunity to play an integral part in strategically, commercially and operationally supporting the transformation of an award-winning multi-channel consumer products business, into the leading global player in their category? This is a scalable business that has recently invested in its operations and systems to drive growth at speed; with ambitions to achieve £100m T/O in 5 years. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the senior team this is a critical leadership role responsible for development and refinement of the strategy, evolution of the business model and the implementation of initiatives geared at delivering profitable and sustained levels of growth.
The Head of Finance / Finance Director will be responsible for:
* The provision of effective decision support and analysis, challenge to strategy and performance, and providing information that improves visibility, provides clarity and helps understand the impact on financial results and targeted KPIs.
* Controlling and reporting on the performance of business functions, providing business intelligence and objective and rigorous measurements of performance.
* Owning, defining and managing the planning and budgeting processes.
* Managing the technological infrastructure and MIS to continue supporting the monitoring of key metrics, the implementation of ‘best practice’ and driving efficiencies across operations and cross-functional business processes.
* Managing the effective relationships with banks and developing strategies to ensure availability of required funding to support the planned growth of the business.
* Cash flow management, including the effective management and control of all working capital: inventory and stock, receivables and payables.
* Managing the accounting and external financial reporting to meet statutory requirements.
* Project managing business-wide projects ensuring that they meet the targeted objectives and are on-specification, on-budget and on-time.
* Managing the key areas of financial transaction processing
* Responsible for the further development of internal control, statutory and tax processes.
* Developing and maintaining the overall finance policies and procedures appropriate to a modern, people-centric, high delivery work culture.
Ideally you’ll be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) with experience at a strategic level in a fast growing, international, consumer products / fmcg business with multichannel / e-commerce channels. Additionally you will be able to engage effectively with key stakeholders, build key relationships; and influence and align teams.
