Our client, a leading waste operator, is looking to recruit a Head of Development for its municipal collections and streetscene division. Reporting to the Head of Municipal Collections and Streetscene, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of municipal collections and streetscene new bids, tenders and contract improvements.

The post holder will play a fundamental role in developing, negotiating, agreeing and implementing new service contracts for all the municipal collection and streetscene contracts as defined by the company’s Development Strategy. This will include pre-qualification stages, restricted tender processes, procurement through competitive dialogue and where appropriate negotiated contracts and/or extensions to contracts. The post holder in so doing will liaise closely with the Head of Municipal Collections and Streetscene, Area Managers, Contract Managers and other support departments such as Estates and Planning, SHEQ, Technical, Legal, Finance and Operations.

This is a full-time, home-based role.
