Head of Commercial Finance

JSS Search are partnering with one of the UK’s leading online fashion brands in their search for a Head of Commercial Finance.

Based in South West London, they employ over 150 staff and create and sell a unique range of women’s clothing and accessories.

This is a key, lead role within the Finance Team reporting into the CFO and heading up the day-to-day financial responsibilities across commercial finance; working in close partnership with the Group Financial Controller.

This role will give you the opportunity to develop current analysis and reporting as well as add value to drive the strategy of the business.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ownership and management of all core financial processes including weekly trade reporting, monthly management reporting and year end requirements.
• Full ownership of the execution of budgets, forecasts and long-range planning.
• Business partnering with stakeholders across the business to support accountability around decision making on spend and alignment to strategic plans.
• Leading the business’ financial budget and forecasting processes.
• Delivery of financial modelling and ad hoc analysis to challenge and support business decisions.
• Preparation of Board presentations including clear and insightful analytical commentary.
• Supporting and driving the wider team to deliver improved end to end finance processes.
• Inspire, motivate and coach a small finance team.
• Deputising for the CFO as required.

THE PERSON

• Qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in industry, ideally in the Retail/Online sector.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with proven financial modelling experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills which blends challenging and supporting colleagues across the business.
• Results focused.
• Flexible in approach to work.
• Strong team player with ability to inspire.
