Head of Buying & New Product Development

Salary: £72,000 – £86,400 per year

• Our client is a growing bespoke / premium product UK/ European retailer. Providing food and retail goods into locations throughout /Europe. This is a very rare role to come up in this people centric organisation, and has only come up due to the current postholder being promoted. Within this role you would be responsible for leading the buying, NPD, creative and supply chain functions/ team. Other aspects are

• Development and training of the buying, NPD and technical functions.

• Creating strategy, objectives, policies, procedures and systems

• Increasing range profitability and stock holding

• Succession planning,

• Overall responsibility for NPD

• This is a mainly remote role with some visits to the head office, in Surrey, as well as customer meetings

Previous experience

• within a fast-paced buying/NPD/ Food sector/ retail environment

• Proven leadership / management experience

• Proven communication / relationship building skills

• A positive outlook
