Head of Business Intelligence – Consultancy (Insurance)| £100k – £130k + 20% Bonus/Benefits | London, UK

One of the UK’s biggest professional services firms have recently launched a brand new insurance focused technology consultancy firm and are seeking a senior BI SME to join their team as Head of Business Intelligence. The role will join a rapidly growing team and be solely responsible for the creation of a greenfield BI practice within this global organisation. You will work at both creating a BI strategy and framework for the internal business while also working as a practice lead with clients to advise and develop BI strategies within their core insurance businesses.

As head of BI you will be responsible for leading and building a team of specialist BI engineers and consultancy and operate at very much a senior design, strategy and delivery level. You will ideally have come from a hands on BI background and have a broad and detailed knowledge of business intelligence ideally in the insurance or FS space. This is a heavy client facing role therefore the ideal candidate will come from a top tier consultancy or vendor firm and be used to facing off to clients regularly.

To be considered for the Head of Business Intelligence role you will have:

– 8+ years experience working in business intelligence ideally within the insurance (or wider FS) space
– Experience working in top tier consultancy (or vendor) focused firm
– First class client facing skills and experience
– Broad understanding of BI technologies, strategy and delivery
– Experience of leading and managing teams of people
– Experience of working with senior level stakeholders, executives and clients
– Any experience with core insurance systems, claims, policy, underwriting etc would be a plus but not essential
– First class communication skills

This is a key leadership role, with the rare ability to be able to mould and shape the creation of a completely greenfield BI practice within one of the fastest growing start-up consultancy firms in the UK. You will have the chance to build your own team, work with a number of enterprise level clients and utilise modern technologies and approaches.
