Role summary: This is an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist who has responsibility for pathology I.T or somebody currently working in pathology I.T who has previously worked as a Haematology Biomedical Scientist.
Haematology and I.T Product Specialist
Office-based in Buckinghamshire
This aim of this role is to assist the company’s customer base (predominately NHS and private clinical laboratories) by providing support in the form of:
– Customer and internal training
– Installation of instruments
– Instrument validation
– Telephone support and assistance to customers.
The role demands good technical and logical problem solving capability, ability to read and understand detailed scientific and technical literature, ability to deliver presentations, perform administrative duties using their innate IT related hardware / software skills.
It is essential to maintain maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring stakeholders receive excellent scientific, IT and technical support throughout the life of their instrumentation.
This position will requires good time management, attention to detail, customer focus, communication and an exceptional grasp of information technology.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The successful candidate will currently be working as a clinical scientist within Haematology but with responsibility for aspects of IT support and troubleshooting.
Experience of Laboratory I.T systems (e.g. LIMS, Interfaces, PC installation, virtualisation, windows troubleshooting, result transmission)
I.T troubleshooting experience (operating systems, management console, event viewer and hardware)
