This is an exciting opportunity to join my clients growing business. They provide commercial and residential grounds maintenance, gardening and some landscaping services across Dorset, Hants and Wilts’

They are a small but successful family run business who place great emphasis on looking after their staff. All staff are treated as part of the family are really invested in and looked after by the Owner/MD. There is a lot of nurturing and support available to you should you need it. They also have a client service focused approach to their customers ensuring that they delight their customers and exceed their expectations.

Now looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Horticultural Team Leader who is capable of running on a day-to-day basis a maintenance round of 2. This role will also be responsible for supervising an apprentice 3 or 4 days pw.

The successful candidate will have: –

* Clean driving licence

* Ideally over 25 years old for insurance purposes

* Min 3 years industrial experience

* Preferable (but not essential) to have NVQ in horticulture

* Ideally have PA1 and PA6 certificates

* Be of smart presentation

* Be an clear and concise communicator who is polite and committed to customer service

* Be able to work under his/her own initiative whilst maintaining exceptional standards of horticulture

* Have an excellent understanding of trees, shrubs, plants and the natural environment

* It would be beneficial to be capable of undertaking the light maintenance of machinery

* Understanding of basic health and safety legislation

* Ideally some man management experience

* Good Maths and English

* Physically fit with no back issues

The role will see you undertaking a variety of duties including (but not limited to):-

* Mowing lawns

* Edging lawns

* Cutting bushes/shrubs

* Hedge Maintenance

* Putting in fence panels

* Some landscaping

* Ensuring sites are clean and tidy (free from litter)

The company will provide you with a van to use for work and a mobile phone. The hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
