Graphic Designer – Bids

Babcock International Group is one of the largest private sector providers of vocational training in the UK. We have been managing and delivering essential training, support and assessment across a wide range of industries for more than 25 years

Babcock has an immediate requirement for a Graphic Designer – Bids to supply creative flair and graphic design input into the bid production process including production of complex graphics, tender documentation and multimedia presentations; working closely with the bid and marketing teams. Also to provide general graphic design support to the business.

Top 4 Major Tasks and Activities:

Translation of complex ideas/processes into accessible graphics to reduce need for written explanations within bids and presentations
Working closely with the Marketing team, design and print of high value Babcock tender documentation and presentations to tight deadlines
Establishing and maintaining bid library with key diagrams, logos, images etc
Work within brand guidelines whilst being creative with these and pushing the boundaries where possible

Key Technical Skills / competencies:

Use of design software packages incl. expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of Flash and other presentation software
Understanding of video and audio files
Knowledge of the print production process
Excellent understanding of MS Office
Experience of working in a business development/marketing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively to deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative
Confident telephone manner when dealing with internal and external contacts
Willing to get involved and be a productive member of the design team
Outstanding creative skills and flair for design

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

Contribution of highly creative design ideas to the bid production process
Creation of professional well-designed graphics which meet the needs of the bid team
Production of high quality tender documentation and presentations in line with brand guidelines
Production of wide range of E&T materials
Provision of appropriate support to the bid and marketing teams

Location: Leatherhead or Portsmouth including National Travel
£22,000-£30,000 (Dependant on Experience)
