My client, an exceptional two form entry Primary based in Islington, is currently looking to take on two graduates to work as teaching assistants starting after the Easter term. A tremendous opportunity, you will have the chance to join a School with an excellent track record of improvement. In the past successful applicants have been offered the chance to stay with the school on a GTP or Schools Direct Programme and this will certainly be on offer with this placement. In light of this the Head of the School is looking to appoint graduate with a passion for Primary education and the intention move into a career in Primary Teaching. You will be assisting in a number of tasks on a daily basis with the chance to work with students in key stage 1 and 2.
The role will incorporate working on a 1:1 basis with students of a lower ability and will see you taking small intervention groups during Literacy and Numeracy sessions. The School has an excellent support structure and you will be afforded every bit of assistance when commencing the role however some previous experience working in a support capacity with young people is essential.
