Penguin Recruitment is excited to be working alongside a forward-thinking UK based Renewable Energy Consultancy in their search for a Graduate Planner to join a supportive team based in York!

My client is seeking a talented and ambitious Graduate Planner to assist in the management of potential renewable energy sites, identifying opportunities in local and national planning policy in a fast-moving environment.

In this role, you will assist the team in preparing planning reviews of incoming potential development sites for all types of developments. You will monitor policy developments and identify new business opportunities, as well as preparing report documents.

You will also provide desk studies, baseline data collection, policy research and interpretation of data on planning-based projects within agreed deadlines. You will have the opportunity to undertake the preparation, submission and management of some minor planning applications with supervision!

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate good awareness of the key principles of Town & Country Planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree-level education in an appropriate discipline, accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute.
• Knowledge of GIS would be desirable.
