Job description:

As a Junior/Graduate Electrical Design Engineer within this small team, you will be benefiting from working directly with the Director of the company.

Your role will be to assist in producing design calculations for a range of technically interesting and challenging projects, assist with site surveys and producing reports and in the future using modelling software to develop your designs and demonstrate how they will perform in the “real world”.

The schemes undertaken by this organisation include but are not limited to retail, leisure, healthcare and commercial offices.

Person specification:

Presently working as an Electrical Design Engineer or having recently graduated with an appropriate degree, it is likely that you are still developing your skills and learning from others but feel that you have either hit a glass ceiling or reached a point of usefulness to your current employer that they are unwilling to help you develop and move on from.

You may well be working within a local authority, design consultancy or a contractors design department producing electrical building services designs to a specification and looking for a role where you will be supported in your professional and career development.

Qualified to a minimum of HNC level (or equivalent) you will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK standards and design basics as well as a genuine interest in building services engineering.
