Salary: £27,600 – £31,200 per year

JOB- Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION- Hertfordshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £27,600 – £31,200per annum (plus benefits)

My client provides solutions for a range of projects and they are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hertfordshire area.

The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar (HNC/ HND / NVQ may also be considered)
Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD
1-2 years or more industry experience ideally (including Placement year experience)
Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
Any previous experience of working with steel / metal materials would be desirable
General mechanical knowledge i.e hydraulics, heavy machinery, fabrication, design for manufacture
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft OfficeThe Graduate Mechanical Designer Engineer role will involve:

Working within the current engineering team
Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion
Producing 3D designs using SolidWorks CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
Generating the documentation to go with the associated designs
