E.ON UK’s Asset Optimisation and Governance (AOG) team are dedicated specialists that utilise business improvement tools and systems to deliver sustainable business improvements, solve technical problems and maintain governance across a range of IT and process-based management systems. With our rapidly growing and diverse range of operational assets, we’ve got an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual to join AOG as a Governance & Compliance Manager.
In this autonomous role, you’ll be accountable for delivering an Integrated Management System (IMS) that adds value, ensures EBIT protection through risk management, and complies with legal requirements, while effectively communicating and influencing a wide range of stakeholders. As a senior member of the AOG management team, you’ll own the mid-term plan for asset governance, technical standards. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you’ll oversee governance and assurance strategies for designated businesses, integrate various management systems into the IMS, conduct integrated management reviews and manage the asset management lifecycle. You’ll also maintain policy statements and drive continual improvement in alignment with risk-based methodologies, serving as the IMS Compliance Officer.
Key responsibilities include
- Overseeing the delivery of integrated management reviews, reporting to senior leaders regularly, engaging with other key stakeholders and overseeing improvement projects.
- Governance of the whole asset management lifecycle via the integrated management system.
- Providing oversight over the cycle of creation, reviewing and developing policies, standards, instructions, guidance and ownership of the integrated policy statement.
- Continuous improvement at all levels of the integrated management system, maintaining it within optimised maturity levels in accordance with risk and consequence-based methodologies.
- Performing the role of IMS Compliance Officer,
- Responsible for the return and internal controls sign off as required.
Here’s what we need from you
- Experience of interfacing at a senior level with professional bodies/regulators/clients.
- Qualification in auditing, or relevant technical discipline.
- Experience of delivering Compliance and Standards in an operational environment is preferred across multiple technical and industry disciplines.
- Experience of building, leading and coaching high performing multi-disciplined teams.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, articulate (verbal and written) and effective at all levels.
- An extensive understanding of various legislation, standards, and compliance obligations.
- Ability to lead technical incident investigations.
- Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, resource management and a long-term strategic focus.
- A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions.
- Working knowledge of organisational policies and procedures which impact the effectiveness of integrated management system(s).
- An extensive knowledge and experience of risk and opportunities management in a operational context.
- Extensive financial and commercial awareness associated with the activities of the role.
- A good working knowledge of IT based governance management systems.

- This is a nationwide role requiring regular travel to various locations within the UK. International travel will potentially also be required.
- This role comes with a car or car allowance of £6,000.
