GIS Data Analyst

GIS Data Analyst with excellent GIS experience required for 12 month contract with utilities client in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Dunfermline.

Duties will include:

Collation, cleansing and formatting of all relevant corporate data.
Liaison with key stakeholders to define the extents of water transmission networks.
Production of service impact timelines including analysis of network storage and hydraulic attributes.
Preparation of field survey packages that will enable field teams to efficiently complete asset criticality surveys.
Liaison with surveyors to track progress of field surveys, audit and cleanse field survey data and use this to produce spatial layers for incorporation into asset profile.
Assist in production of system specific dashboards to provide stakeholders with easy, spatial access to multiple datasets, including historical information, network and criticality data, and information on future work programmes.
Preparation of data for integration into corporate systems.
Work as part of the team to research and develop signature solutions to reduce asset risk, increase resilience and enhance performance. This will include identification and exploitation of key technologies, development of inspection and testing methodologies, and development of low cost, high value mitigation options.
Support the team in undertaking root cause analysis of major burst events associated with strategic infrastructure assets.Experience required:

Prior experience in spatial software such as MS Office, MapInfo, Google Earth, QGIS, Smallworld or PSP.
