German Speaking Digital Marketing Executive

Travel & Tourism agency currently seeks a native-level German speaker to fill a Digital Marketing Executive vacancy within its team close to London Victoria.

Focusing on the German market and fulfilling a broad online marketing role, the successful Digital Executive will increase visibility and engagement online through email, social media and search engine optimisation

With a good all-round knowledge of the various online marketing channels, the successful German Speaking Digital Marketing Executive will take responsibility for the following:

• Build CRM forms according to form requirements and ensure they are working by creating test entries and liaising with the CRM department to see if data has been captured.
• Define the approach with agency and stakeholders to use social media as a marketing tool
• Use social media to build a sense of community
• Work with the rest of the team to generate unique, differentiated content and promotions to engage and sustain interaction with the community
• Where necessary help to create and establish new social media communities – contributing to research, design briefs, content, tactics and implementation
• Suggest ideas for new engaging and viral content
• On an ongoing basis, work with SEO agency to set and define optimisation strategy to improve search visibility and traffic
• Work with the Digital Optimisation Manager to define on-site SEO approach including URLs, navigation labelling and internal linking, meta data etc.
• Flag up issues with the website`s user experience that are detracting from successful digital marketing (for ex. High bounce rates on landing pages). Outline the business benefits of making changes
• Working with the Digital/Marketing team, plan out the placement of media
• Edit and write well-crafted web copy to agreed online style guidelines
• Either on your own initiative or with the support of the Web/Marketing Analysts in the team, track audience behaviour on sites and seek to improve usability and engagement
• Create comment-provoking content and campaigns with sign-up incentives such as competitions, prize draws and giveaways
• Identify “opinion leaders` within the audience and encourage them to get more involved with provoking increased conversation, through mutual incentives
• Regular tracking and reporting on weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis on agreed KPIs for digital channels and websites
• Stay up to date with new email and CRM developments, social media, SEO and other digital marketing channels, and actively research, test and propos new approaches

The successful German Speaking Digital Marketing Executive will have demonstrable experience working in the digital industry and an understanding of the German market-place, utilising a broad knowledge of online marketing disciplines including CRM, Email, Pad Search, SEO, Copywriting, Social Media and Web Analytics.

In particular, you will have an understanding of the mechanics of email marketing, a track-record of improving site traffic though SEO and knowledge of the technical underpinnings pf paid search and display advertising.

Lastly, you will possess an engaging conversational writing style and be able to demonstrate this through published work with a recognised organisation.

Though not essential, knowledge of any of the following web development and design technologies would be advantageous: PHP, HTML, MySQL, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress.

NB: KNOWLEDGE OF GERMAN TO A NATIVE LEVEL IS ESSENTIAL.
