Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year
Job Title: Geoenvironmental Engineer
Responsible to: Senior / Principal Engineer
Key Tasks:
* Logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:1999.
* Sampling soil and water in accordance with BS5930:1999 and BS10175:2001.
* Prepare engineering logs using holebase.
* Undertake trial pitting.
* Supervising all forms of drilling including rotary coring.
* Supervise and undertake soakaway tests and in-situ permeability tests and calculations.
* Supervise monitoring well installations.
* Ordering desk study searches.
* Schedule basic geotechnical and chemical soils and water analysis.
* Prepare desk study reports.
* Basic landfill gas risk assessment.
* Prepare the factual parts of geo-environmental appraisals, including descriptions of ground conditions.
* Supervise ground engineering projects.
* Supervise remediation validation works.
* Any Ad hoc duties as and when required.
