The Role
- Performing both planned and reactive service and maintenance of our generators.
- Using a works van to travel to sites in your territory.
- Conducting fault diagnosis and carrying out breakdown repairs.
- Collaborating with Coordinators at our head office for efficient planning.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Participating in the regional on-call rotation (approximately 1 in 6 on average).
- Adhering to the company’s H&S, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Accurate recording keeping using the company’s bespoke management system.
- Working closely internally, to ensure jobs are within budget and on time.
The Person
- Time served as Mechanical/Electrical engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3.
- Experience in generators is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Familiar with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators).
- Be able to understand and complete risk assessments.
- Any experience in a mobile engineering position is attractive.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with communicating via telephone and face-to-face.
- The capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.
