General Manager – Restaurant

TM Resourcing are looking to recruit a General Manager on behalf of our client. The restaurant offers the best in Spanish cuisine with seasonal gastronomic tapas and a selection of artisan produce and wines, some of which are unique to the British market, available from the delicatessen. The establishment is quite large and offers elegant and efficient service. Turnover varies from £50k to £70k weekly. Although they are quite large in volume, they work with high end standards, so that must be reflected in your background as well. Obviously being a big place and a challenge, we want to find a strong leader with mature and established managerial skills, that can really take ownership and make it shine.

Tasks and responsibilities:

* Strong background in similar operations (high volume, high service standards, elegant but informal)
* Already experience in a GM position over a similar size and scale restaurant
* Financially literate and used to work towards KPI’s and set targets – able to forecast and budget effectively
* Will be managing a team of 30-40 staff, fully responsible for Front and Back of House and working closely with the Head Chef
* Reports to Operations Director
* Management team will include one AGM, one supervisor and Head Receptionist
* Good gastronomic knowledge
* Good leadership skills, leading by example, needs to have presence and personality
* Hands on mentality, able to drive teams and motivate
* Salary rage £38,400 – £40,800depending on experience
* Immediate start
