Our client is the largest integrated veterinary service provider in the UK. A vacancy currently exists for a General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of one of the company’s waste facilities in the South East. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, staff development, ensuring regulatory and compliance best practice is adhered to as well as marketing the facility to prospective veterinary practices.

To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge/skills/qualifications and attributes:

* Qualified to WAMITAB Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent) or evidence of participation in a current course in order that a diploma (or equivalent qualification) is obtained

* Proven experience of working in a healthcare waste transfer station and/or treatment facility in an operational management capacity OR experience of working in an animal by-products incineration or pet crematorium business in a management capacity

* Experience in preparing and managing budgets

* Knowledge of relevant legislation.

* Highly proactive and driven to succeed
