About The Role
We’re now recruiting for directly employed Gas Engineers to join our team!
- Location – Lutonor within a 20 minute drive of a LU postcode
- Full Time – You will average 40 hours per week over the year working annualised hours (Less in Summer more in Winter), but your pay will not change! This also includes some weekends and Bank Holiday working
- Salary – £45,884 (includes location allowance) + £6,000 signing on bonus!

As a Gas Repair Engineer you will undertake the maintenance and repair work of gas appliances and central heating systems in private domestic properties. You will provide industry leading service aligned with our customer and people promises, to help us enhance our reputation and drive customer growth.

- £45,884 per year. Our salaries are reviewed annually to make sure they are competitive
- £6,000 signing on bonus (This is split into five payments, £1,500 on passing your 6 month probation, £1,000 after 9 months, £1000 at 12 months, £1000 at 15 months and a final £1500 after 18 months service)

About The Candidate
Essential – We require you to have the following:
- CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1
- Full UK Driving Licence with less than 6 penalty points
- Excellent customer service skills
Desirable – It would also be great if you had experience with:
- Experience of working on a variety of different boilers across varied manufacturers

Training & Support
In order to use the relevant systems and work as a Gas Boiler Repair Engineer for HomeServe, you’ll need to undertake our extensive training programme. The initial training will consist of 4 weeks of support prior to being signed-off to work on your own. During week 1 the training will be Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm and based in Nottingham. Where geographically appropriate we will pay for your accommodation. This will be classroom based training where you have a corporate induction to HomeServe and cover off Health & Safety, tools and equipment. There will then be 3 weeks where you ‘buddy’ up with an experienced Gas engineer in your area.
