Gas Engineers to Become Dual Fuel Smart Meter Fitters

We are currently searching for 30 Gas Professional’s who are interested in joining a Scholarship to become Dual Fuel SMART Meter Installers.

Over the next 5 years, 30 million Gas & Electric (Dual Fuel) SMART Meters will be need to be installed across the Central Belt of Scotland. We are currently working with a leading provider of Dual Fuel Smart Metering Engineers who are urgently in need for more engineers.

We have a great opportunity to join a scholarship which will provide you with the skills that are needed to be able to install Dual Fuel SMART meters. Once you have completed your training you will then be putting your skills to the test.

This position is an ongoing 23 month temporary contract and labour only, which means that we provide everything to do the job. All that will be needed from you is your technical expertise as a Dual Fuel SMART Meter Installer.

Must have CCN1 or MET1 Qualifications.
Be prepared to work outside of your local area if required (neighbouring postal codes)
Commit to the temporary contract for at least 23 months
Be prepared to be vetted via a Criminal Record Check
Be prepared to drive a van that has a tracker fitted
Be prepared to take a detailed trade test and run the risk of having any offer of employment immediately removed, should you fail to achieve a 90% Pass Mark
Be prepared to attend a Health and Safety Induction, which may be outside of your local area and involve overnight stays (all expenses covered).

You will also be required to undertake the following –

Attend a screening day which will include, psychometric assessment, written aptitude test, colour blind and complete an interview.
Provide References which will be checked from all your previous employers to verify your technical ability for a minimum of at least two years.
Important Benefits –

If successful, you will be put through a 5 week course to give you the training to successfully install Duel Fuel SMART Meters.
This is a 23 month temporary contract, however, the contract could be extend, subject to your performance.
OTE c£30,000 per year
On completion of the 23 month contract, you will be eligible for a Completion Bonus
Pay is weekly via PAYE via an our approved management company – inc holiday pay and National Insurance)
Training is paid (including hotel and some travel dependent on location)
The client will be supplied with a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE and Phone
