My client is a strong combustion engineering company based in the Docklands in East London. My client provide install, commission, service, maintenance and breakdown cover to all gas and ancillary equipment. 14 engineers strong, my client now requires an office based contract supervisor to make sure the smooth running of all small projects & contract tender bids.

To contribute to the achievement of Business Plan objectives through the delivery of a high quality and responsive customer focused service providing installation, repair and reactive service in respect of all commercial heating plant, ensuring compliance with current legislation including health and safety. Identifying health and safety risks within all the company’s activities and ensuring sufficient resources are made available..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

1. Ensure all quotations and tenders are assessed, including site surveys, and returned within agreed time frame and followed through to order, in line with the company’s Business Management objectives

2. To oversee engineers in connection with the provision of installation, repair and reactive breakdown of all commercial heating plant, in conjunction with the Installations Office Manager, ensuring accurate information and details are recorded to facilitate a quick resolution to all situations and ensuring compliancy to regulations.

3. Ensure that the Installations Office Manager and others as are informed of any and all issues and incidences as may be instructed and required by the company as soon as practically possible. Also to report any issues and incidences that may be outside these guides.

4. Ensure the company carries our all works to the relevant industry documentation required by governing bodies

5. To ensure that all paperwork as deemed necessary for you to complete is done so, accurately and in line with current legislation, or as required by the company. Also to ensure that all paperwork is returned promptly as required and instructed to do.

6. At all times to dress, act and perform in a professional manner befitting a Supervisor working for the company.

7. Liaise with customers in order to assess the nature of any specific problems and arrive at appropriate solutions, and build customer relations

8. Support risk management procedures and appraisal systems of all areas of risk, together with procedures and recommendations on policy in relation to the post’s responsibilities, participating in business continuity planning/emergency management activities and making appropriate recommendations to the Office Installation Manager

9. Bringing forward opportunities for business growth.

10. To undertake toolbox talks as requested by the Health and Safety Officer.

Must have Qualifications/ Skill Set

* Senior staff and various staff members at different levels
* Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor with in the H & V industry
* Commercial ACS qualified
