Fundraising Manager

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £22,400  – 26 Hours per week

The post of Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the fundraising, marketing, communications, and partnerships functions of the organisation to achieve income generation targets. The role holder will be expected to develop and implement a strategic income generation plan to drive income growth, diversify income streams, and increase the number of donors who support the organisation’s mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive income generation strategy that includes fundraising, marketing, communications, and partnerships activities that align with organization goals and objectives.

Develop and execute fundraising plans for the organization, ensuring that income targets are met or exceeded annually, and identify new opportunities for income generation.

Build and manage relationships with major donors, sponsors, and corporate partners to maximize support for the organisation. Manage donor stewardship, ensuring that the organization is delivering an exceptional supporter experience.

Oversee the planning and implementation of fundraising events to meet budget goals and participate in community outreach efforts

Working with colleagues to lead on the Identification and submission of  grant applications

Lead marketing and communications activity to develop and implement marketing and social media campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and support for the organisation

Lead, manage and develop team members to deliver a high level of performance, driving motivation and engagement

Ensure that the charity is up-to-date with the latest fundraising and marketing techniques, trends, and best practices, and ensure that emerging opportunities are maximized.

Monitor and manage the income generation budget so that it is being utilized efficiently and effectively.

Monitor and report on progress against a range of key performance indictors, and provide regular reports for the Board

Ensure that the organization’s income generation practices are compliant with ethical fundraising standards in the UK

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience of developing fundraising strategies and delivering to income targets.
  • Demonstrable experience in fundraising, making grant applications and managing donor relations, ideally in the charity sector and in leading and managing fundraising campaigns/activities.
  • A confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills who is able to build strong and effective relationships
  • Full UK Driving license and access to your own vehicle
  • Someone who is passionate about supporting local families
  • Due to the nature of our work background checks (references) will be taken up, you will be required to have an enhanced DBS check.
