Front End HTML5/Mobile Developer Birmingham Central

A rapidly growing gaming company based in Birmingham Central are currently recruiting for a HTML5 developer to join one of the UKs largest gaming operators. They have a number of different gaming brands with a focus on Casino products. The aim is to produce quality slot machines for delivery across multiple platforms including web, social and mobile.

The successful candidate will be a strong HTML developer and work in an experienced team to develop a series of mobile HTML5 games to be integrated into the in-house applications. You would need to comfortably be able to write clean and concise code and take pride in all aspects of the development – including design, test, planning and documentation.

Excellent communicational skills are essential – to ensure that whilst working independently or part of a team all work is produced to its highest possible standard.

Requirements

·2 years commercial experience (Will consider graduates with a 2:1 or above)

·HTML5

. Mobile Development Experience

·JavaScript (preferably object orientated)

·Unit testing experience

·Experience with game development

·Strong knowledge of UI design

Beneficial

·Experience in the gaming industry

·UML

·Experience developing slot machine front ends

·Experience working with XML-based web services

·Phaser.io, Pixi.js, Require.js, Node.js

·Unit testing with Jasmine

·Photoshop (Basic)

·An interest in, or knowledge of new and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

If successful, your main responsibilities will be developing the mobile slot framework – including a selection of libraries and tools whilst working closely with client software development and server teams.

You will also be asked to produce useful unit tests, documentation and configuration to support all the code that you have developed – whilst working closely with the design and maths team to create the highest quality final product possible.
